For business owners submitting their businesses for listing, we collect additional information including:

• Listing preferences (public or semi-anonymous)

How We Use Your Information

For newsletter subscribers, your email address will be used solely to:

• Notify you when our newsletter launches
• Send you our newsletter once it's active
• Communicate important updates about our service

For business owners submitting listings, we use your information to:

• Create a listing for your business in our newsletter
• Connect you with potential buyers (only with your permission)
• Verify the information provided about your business
• Communicate with you about your listing

Business Listing Privacy

When you submit your business for listing, you have the option to choose between:

• Public listing: Your business name and description will be included in the newsletter
• Semi-anonymous listing: Your business will be described without naming it specifically

In both cases, your personal contact information is never shared directly with newsletter subscribers. Interested buyers must contact Deal Scout first, and we will only connect them with you after verifying their interest and obtaining your permission.

Data Storage

We store all information securely in a Notion database. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Business listing information is retained for as long as necessary to provide our service or until you request its removal. After a business is sold or removed from our listings, we retain minimal information for record-keeping purposes.

Your Rights

You can request to be removed from our waitlist at any time by contacting us at contact@dealscout.com.

Business owners can request to modify or remove their listing at any time by contacting us. You can also request a copy of all information we have stored about you and your business.
